For many years now, ‘Country-Folk’ have crossed Bedlington Terriers with Whippets, in order to produce what essentially looks like a scruffy-haired whippet (as made famous by Claude Greengrass owning one in the TV show ‘Heartbeat’).

With speed from the Whippet side and stamina and tenacity  from the Terrier side, good quality, first-cross Beddy-Whippets are highly sought after, for their skill as a working dog. However, their loving nature, gentleness and let's be honest, unrivalled 'cuteness', mean that they are becoming increasingly popular as pets/companion dogs.

In order to ensure that any puppy we sell, is one that we can be truly proud of;  when we produce a litter of Beddy-Whippets, we always pair the finest quality, full pedigree Bedlington Terrier with the finest quality, full pedigree Whippet and treat the process in exactly the same way, as we do for our Kennel Club Assured pure-bred dogs.

All our Beddy-Whippet puppies are raised in our home and are nurtured, handled, and socialised, adhering to official Kennel Club Assured Breeder guidelines.

Any dog that we breed from, will have been health checked, DNA tested, and shown to be fit, healthy and CT Clear. All puppies will come with a comprehensive new owner/puppy pack, together with detailed 5 generation lineage documentation.
